PURPOSE:To safely move a load the center of gravity of which is biased by changing the interval between right and left load-drawing driving rolles according to the width of a load so as to deliver or store a load with the rollers positioned near both widthwise ends of the base of the load regardless of the load width. CONSTITUTION:In carrying out a load from a shelf, a screw shaft 29 is rotated forward and backward, and the interval between both roller units is adjusted in such a manner that the interval between load guide bars 35 respectively mounted on the units is a little wider than the width of a load to be handled. In such a condition, an elevating carriage 10 is moved up and down in such a manner that rollers 36, 37 are a little higher than the base of the load on a shelf, and each roller 20, 21 of a roller conveyer 15 and the drawing driving rollers 36, 37 are driven to draw in the load, a conveyer frame 11 being moved laterally toward a load to be carried out, so that the leading end both side portions of the load projected over the shelf are picked up by the rollers 36, 37. |
