PURPOSE:To enable visual understanding of a worn state of a braking member and recovery of an elastic force in a braking device of a dc-disc type electromagnetic brake or the like by disposing a wear detective member for the braking member through a vacancy of an elastic force adjusting member. CONSTITUTION:A certain load is connected to a rotor shaft 2 of a motor and after an elastic force of an elastic member 13 is regulated by turning an adjusting member 8 so as to surely brake and hold the load, movement of the adjusting member 8 is prevented with a lock nut 14. When an excitment winding 7 or so of the motor is excited, a movable core 11 is attracted to a fixed core 6 so that a braking force between the braking member 4 and a braking face 1a of a brake housing 1 is released. As a lining 5 of the braking member 4 is gradually worn at every excitment, the movable core 11 and a wear detector 16 are gradually shifted toward the braking face 1a. By making further turning of the adjusting member 8 until the external end face thereof and a wear indicative means 16a of said detector 16 are made vertically flush, the elastic member 13 is recovered to its preset elastic force. |
