PURPOSE:To lower heat discharged in an image forming device and to prevent thermal failure, by forming a duct between a fixing device main body and a fixing device, flowing air to the duct and discharging the air to the outside of the image forming device. CONSTITUTION:Ducts 28 and 29 are formed between a fixing device main body 3 and a fixing device 5. At image fixing, copy paper after image formation is introduced between a heat roller and a pressing roller 5 for heating to thermally fix the image. In this case, external air is introduced from vent holes of a bottom plate 2a of a copy machine 2, flows in the ducts 28 and 29 in the fixing device 1 with natural convection and exhausted outside of the copying machine 2. Through the flow of external air, the heat dissipated from the heat roller 4 is isolated, the heat dissipated in the copy machine can remarkably be lowered and thermal defect to components can be avoided. |
