PURPOSE:To continuously and high efficiently obtain an electrode terminal of high airtightness, lightweight, and high quality, by stretching an axis portion which is going to be an electromagnetic rod in the major axis direction while squeezing it, press-molding a hollow blind hole, and closing the open end of the hollow blind hole in a round head form. CONSTITUTION:A round rod wire made of continuous conductive metal is cut and an annular collar 3b is formed integratedly on the external surface of an axis portion 3a by pressing it with a punch 10. The tip surface of the axis portion is pushed against a catch pin 16a and the external surface of the axis portion is stretched in the major axis direction portion 3a is entended from L1 to L2 and a hollow blind hole 3c is formed. Then, stepped concave holes 3d and 3e are formed by punching the rear surface of the axis portion 3a on the base end side, using the punches 12 and 13 with protruded axes 12a and 13a. Finally, the open section 3c' of the flind hole 3c on the tip of the axis portion is pushed against the spherical step 19b of the bottom section of the mold hole, contracted and closed 3f in a round head form. |
