PURPOSE:To increase the packing density of the active material, and obtain a constant electrode continuously by dividing the packing process of a pasty kneaded mixture, and making the mean grain diameter of the active material of the former process larger than that of the latter process. CONSTITUTION:The process of packing a pasty kneaded mixture principally consisting of a powdery active material is divided into at least two stages by using an active material with a large mean grain diameter in the former packing process and using an active material with a smaller mean grain diameter in the latter packing process. In addition, the viscosity of the paste of the latter process is made smaller than that of the former process. As the result, the packing density of the active material is increased, and an electrode with a constant quality and a high capacity can be obtaianed continuously. |
