PURPOSE:To standardize a saturable current transformer and to reduce the size of a self-exciting AC generator by producing a current proportional to the output current of a generator through a current transformer and applying the current to the primary side of a saturable current transformer regulated by an automatic voltage regulator. CONSTITUTION:A current proportional to the output voltage of a generator is produced through a reactor 8 connected to a bus 7. A current proportional to the output current of the generator is produced through a current transformer 20 connected to the bus 7, and a DC output responsive to the deviation between a voltage of the generator outputted from an automatic voltage regulator 12 is supplied to the primary side of a saturable current transformer 30 supplied to an exciting coil 31. An AC output obtained by synthesizing the vectors of the current produced from the secondary side of the transformer 30 and the current produced from a reactor 8 is supplied to the field coil 6 of an AC exciter 5 through a rectifier 10. |
