PURPOSE:To exactly hold the moving timing of a recording and reproducing head, by comparing one rotation time with a prescribed value, when a recording track is formed by moving the head in the width direction at every one rotation running of an endless tape. CONSTITUTION:Recording is started by a recording and reproducing head after a loop one rotation time of an endless tape has been controlled to a prescribed time by a subtracting circuit 2 for deriving a time difference by comparing a mark detector 100 with a clock signal, and a servo circuit 3 for controlling the rotational frequency of a capstan 4 so that said value becomes zero. Simultaneously, a cue signal is recorded by a control head, by which a control state is set, and after that, whenever the cue signal is reproduced, the recording and reproducing head is moved in the width direction of the tape. In this way, when dubbing is executed by connecting plural slave machines to one master machine, recorded contents of a slave tape can be held uniformly. |
