PURPOSE:To obtain the proposed material enhanced in image density and raw stock storage stability, by coating the melt of a thermosoftening hydrophobic material with a coupling component dispersed on a substrate, coating on said material after solidification, a photosensitive liquid containing a diazo compound and a thermomelting substance, and drying this. CONSTITUTION:A coupling component, such as 3-hydroxycyanoacetanilide, is dispersed as 0.1-10mum diameter particles into the melt of a thermosoftening hydrophobic material, such as vinyl acetate-lauryl methacrylate copolymer to give a precoating liquid dispersion, this is coated on a substrate, such as paper, on the coated layer after solidification a photosensitive liquid containing an azo compound, such as 4-diazo-1-dimethylaminobenzene and a thermomelting substance, such as N-methylpalmitamide is coated, and dried. The coupling component is perfectly separated from the diazo compound contained in the photosensitive layer formed on the precoated layer, permitting a high-quality product remarkably enhanced in storage stability to be obtained. |
