PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic recording body giving a high quality image and not causing damage due to a short circuit between it and a stylus by forming a low resistance layer contg. a photosemiconductor as a principal component on the back side of a dielecric sheet with >=10<12>OMEGAcm resistivity. CONSTITUTION:A low resistance layer 102 consisting of an inorg. photosemiconductor such as Se, S, ZnO, Ti2O3, PbO, ZnS or CdS or an org. photosemiconductor such as anthracene or acridine and of a resin binder is formed on the back side of a dielectric sheet 101 with >=10<12>OMEGAcm resistivity such as a film or polyethylene, polystyrene or acrylic resin. For example, a mixture of 100 parts soln. of 20% polyvinyl acetate resin in toluene with 80% photoconductive ZnO is applied to the back side of a polyethylene terephthalate film 101 and dried to obtain an electrostatic recording body 1 giving a high quality image and not causing damage due to a short circuit between it and a stylus. |
