<p>The stator is made of injection moulded plastic material, with two studs for supporting the cores of magnetic coils. The studs are extended by pegs projecting from the plane of the stator. The studs have transverse holes drilled through them to receive gudgeon pins for fixing the stator to the motor. At the centre of the stator there is a cup formed, with an opening to carry the cable to an electric capacitor. On the inside surface of the cup there are grooves which serve to hold the capacitor in place. The capacitor itself comprises a metal box with ends forming contact plates inside an insulating cover.</p> |
