PURPOSE:In a fuel injection type multi-cylinder engine to perform the cleaning by providing a fuel injection valve for feeding the fuel to a stop cylinder near to a fresh air stop valve and blowing the fuel from the injection valve to the stop valve under full cylinder operation. CONSTITUTION:The fuel injection valves 21, 22 for injecting the fuel are provided at the manifold collecting section in the operating side suction path 4 and the manifold collecting side in the stop side suction path 3 on the basis of the pulse signal from the control circuit 17. The fuel injection valve 22 at the top side is located at the valve board 2A side of a butterfly valve 2 for stopping the fresh air while the injection hole 22A is arranged in the suction path wall 3A such that the fuel is blown to the valve board 2A during the opening of the valve. Consequently under the light load, the stop valve 2 will tightly close the stop side suction path and the adhesive material in the return gas from the exhaust return path 19 will be deposited at the downstream side of the valve board 2A, but when starting the full cylinder operation under the high load the deposition will be cleaned by the fuel injected through the injection valve 22. |
