<p>The stretcher includes a strong plastics sheet supported by a pair of three-piece rods. Each of the other parts of the rods (1,2) fit into the ends of the tubular section (3) and into short sleeves (6) fixed to cross-pieces (4,5) which join the two rods at top and bottom. The elements of the stretcher are held in place by spring bolts (9) which can be released so that the stretcher can be completely dismantled for storage. The plastics sheet (11) is in the form of a sleeve with two parallel weld lines adjacent the longitudinal edges to form channels through which the rods are inverted.</p> |
