PURPOSE:To improve the capacity of a compressor by constructing the introducing passage of air into an impeller from an opening to be smoothly bent as a whole for removing the loss of pressure on the basis of a two-dimentional air stream. CONSTITUTION:The section of a C-C line is shaped to be almost oval, while the section of a D-D line near the entrance of an impeller 5 is shaped to be annular to meet with the shape and the size of the impeller 5. Consequently, in an air- intake structure 20, the introducing passage of air from an opening 1 to the impeller 5 can obtained approximately a smooth two-dimentional stream as arrows 25 and 26 show. This construction permits to reduce the loss of the pressure from the opening 1 to the entrance of the impeller 5 greatly, and improve the capacity of a compressor. |
