RECOVERY DEVICE FOR HEAT OF STRIP

PURPOSE:To cool the rolled coils of high temps. prior to pickling and to recover their heat by cooling said coils with molten salt and utilizing the heat of the molten salt heated at that time. CONSTITUTION:A melting tank 102 is provided just before a pickling tank 14, and heat transmitting tubes for recovering heat are installed in the tank 14. A strip of high temps. unrolled from a hot rolled coil is passed through the inside of the molten salt in this tank 102, by which the strip is cooled. Heat is recovered through the heat transmitting tubes from the molten salt heated there. Said cooled strip is conducted to the tank 14, where it is pickled, after which it is again coiled. In this way, the heat retained by the hot rolled coil is recovered with the simple installations.
