POLARIZATION SWITCHING TYPE CIRCULAR POLARIZED WAVE ANTENNA

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution and to make the size small, by forming a circular polarized wave radiation element in distribution coupling with a power feeding microstrip line on a dielectric substance base. CONSTITUTION:On a dielectric substance base 41, a power feeding microstrip line 43 made of a conductor film and a circular polarized wave radiation element 44 are formed. The element 44 is formed in a square one side of which is almost lambdag/2 and a slit 45 is provided on one diagonal line. A tip 43b of a power feeding microstrip line 43 is connected to a ground terminal 48 via a diode switch 46 as a switching element for the changeover of direction of polarized wave and to a bias terminal 49 via a low pass filter 47. When the diode switch 46 is nonconductive, the tip of the line 43 is released and a right rotated polarized wave is energized to the element 44 and when the diode 46 is conductive, the tip of the line 43 is short-circuited and left rotated circular polarized wave is energized to the element 44.
