PURPOSE:To miniaturize an ultrasonic motor, by providing specific step to vibrators integrally formed to a connector to keep contact with a rotor to cause to rotate. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is equipped with a piezoelectric ceramics 2a as a vibrator 11 on a surface of cylindrical metal base 1 and a common electrode 3 is formed on the opposite surface of this base 1. To the opposite face of the ceramics 2a a piezoelectric ceramics 2b is installed and to the opposite face of the common electrode 3 the bottom face 4a of a cylindrical metallic connector 4 is installed. On both sides of the connector 4 flanges 5a-5b are secured, to which arms 6a-6b and bearings 8a-8b are secured. An output shaft 9 is releasably supported rotatably, to which a rotor 10 is fixed. Step 12-13 mutually different in distance are formed to the connector 4. Flexural waves are thereby formed to the tip curved surface 11a of the connector-vibrator 11 setting up elliptic motion, so that the rotor 10 can be caused to rotate. |
