Information is provided on a display, which information describes the populating process step by step using symbols and text (programmed instruction). The display and carrier board are arranged, from ergonomic points of view, in the field of view of the operator. A high-resolution display is used. The working sequence is reproduced on the display in the respective optimum work steps. This not only assists the eye in locating the respective location in which the item is to be fitted but the progress of the work can be followed in detail on the screen (principle of the image which builds itself up). The respective populating position is lit more brightly than the already populated positions. Control is carried out via a graphics microcomputer. The components are fed automatically, and the component feed is likewise controlled by the program. |
