<p>The electric power supply comprises an electric rotary machine intended to be driven by an engine in order to supply electrical energy to a battery and/or to various user units, and rectifier means combined with the machine for obtaining direct current. The machine is chosen in such a way that when it is driven by the engine at its idling speed, the voltage at the terminals of the machine is insufficient to ensure charging of the battery; the unit comprises means to make it possible to establish periodically a voltage surge at the terminals of the machine and a current for charging the battery.</p> |
