If two different signals which perform different tasks are transmitted via carrier frequencies into a low-voltage line, there is the risk of mutual interference. The invention gives the signal of a remote control system, which transmits short-time commands only, priority over the longer-lasting signal of an intercom system. An evaluation logic selectively monitors a command signal present on the low-voltage line and de-activates the intercom signal for the duration of the command signal. <IMAGE>
