Two guide strips (4, 5) are arranged at an angle of greater than 90 DEG to one another on a hand milling machine. The guide strips (4, 5) have a width corresponding to the diameter of the mill cutter (3) and are arranged symmetrically with respect to the centre axis of the mill cutter. The hand milling machine serves for milling the welding beads on butt-welded, right-angle corner joints of plastic profile bars. <IMAGE>
