PURPOSE:To detect whether a discharging lamp is turned on or not by detecting magnetic force generated by a current flowing through the main discharging electric circuit of the discharging lamp. CONSTITUTION:Under filament feeding control, filaments 2 and 3 are powered up through conductors 4 and 5. Then, when a lighting command signal is inputted to a discharge controller, main discharge currents flow through main discharging electric circuits (conductors 11 and 12) of discharge lamps 11 and 14, and the lamps turn on. By magnetic force generaged by the main discharge currents flowing through the conductors 11 and 12, currents flow through coils 171- 174. Those currents are detected by current detectors 181-184 to know that the discharge lamps 11-14 turn on by the main discharge currents. |
