PURPOSE:To improve using procedure by setting up waiting time required until an auto-resetting mechanism is driven longer than a prescribed time at the time of detecting the empty state of copying paper. CONSTITUTION:When a paper select key is depressed, whether a paper storing cassette selected before the key entry is an upper cassette 42 or a lower cassette 43 is decided and whether paper in the cassettes 3, 4 is empty or not is decided by a detecting device. When the selected cassette is empty, 5min e.g. is set up as auto-resetting timer time. When the paper in a selected cassette is empty in case of selecting a new paper cassette, the operation mode is returned to a reference mode after the passage of 5min from the final key operation. |
