PURPOSE:To reduce the wave making resistance and improve the propulsion performance by providing driving propellers such as screws on both sides of a bow so as to absorb the water at th bow area. CONSTITUTION:Controllable pitch propellers 5 are provided on both right and left sides of the sphere-like section 2 of a bow as free of rotation by means of driving mechanisms 10, and propulsion blades 6 are provided behind them. The water at the bow area is absorbed by propellers 5 and also removed backward by propulsion blades 6, resulting in a reduction of the wave making resistance of the bow section and an improvement of the propulsion performance. |
