<p>PURPOSE:To easily and safely operate a lifter for the getting in and out of a physically handicapped person on a wheelchair, by enabling a single switch to act to open and close a door for an entrance at which the lifter is installed and by keeping the lifter out of operation throughout the period of closure of the door. CONSTITUTION:A door switch 15 and a lift switch 16 are provided on the outside of the rear part of a vehicle body 1. The door switch 15 can be operated to swing a rear door 2 upward by a door open/close cylinder 3. When the lift switch 16 is operated forward or backward, the platform 8 of a folded lifter is horizontally outspread into a horizontal posture by open/close cylinders in stanchins 4. When the lift switch 16 is operated rightward or leftward, the platform 8 is moved down in the horizontal posture by up/down cylinders in the stanchins 4. Throughout the period of closure of the door 2, the open/close and the up/down cylinders are kept from acting when the lift switch 16 is operated, to prevent the door and the lifter from being damaged.</p> |
