PURPOSE:To realize a piston motion in a wide area with high efficiency, by jetting heated and melted beryllium, onto the surface of a roll which is rotating at a high speed, from a nozzle, and using a molded body of a thin belt obtained by suddenly cooling it on the surface of the roll, as a core material. CONSTITUTION:A beryllium base metal is put into a nozzle 1, is heated and melted by a siliconit resistance heating device, etc. 2, and subsequently, onto stainless steel finished with chrome plating 2 rolls 4a, 4b, which are rotating at a high speed, a molten base metal 3 is jetted from a jet-hole la, by which berillium of a thin belt is obtained. The diaphragm can be manufactured with high yield by using a beryllium thin belt which has been obtained by such anultraquick-cooling method and can be molded easily, and it is possible to obtain a diaphragm which is light, efficient, and wide in its piston motion area. |
