PURPOSE:To easily couple optical circuit parts mutually by forming an optical waveguide by applying pressure to part of a transparent material surface to high density. CONSTITUTION:A transparent material 2 backed with a reinforcing material 1 is machined previously to provide a fitting means (e.g. fitting hole 3 and optical circuit parts storage part 4) for various optical circuit parts. Any transparent material which turns optically transparent or semitransparent by being pressurized to high density is usable and, for example, transparent and semitransparent plastic materials, etc., are used. Applying a recessed streak pattern optical waveguide 5 which corresponds to a desinged optical circuit pattern facilitates the formation of an optical circuit substrate. |
