VEHICLE FOR PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED PERSON

PURPOSE:To facilitate the movement of a physically handicapped person on a wheelchair from the rear room to front seat of a van, by providing a moving slide unit at the front seat and providing a forwardly-downward inclined part in front of the rear room floor near a header board. CONSTITUTION:A lift is provided at the rear entrance of a van so that a physically handicapped person on a wheelchair can be carried into and out of the rear room 42 of the vehicle by the lift. A moving slide unit 78 is installed between the driver's seat 76 and assistant driver's seat 77 of the front seat assembly 75 provided in a higher level than the floor 43 of the rear room 42. The slide unit 78 includes slide springs and can move along lower rails 84 on a base plate 79. A forwardly-downward inclined part 49 is provided along a header board 48 in front of the floor 43 so that the inclined part is located in the position of transfer of the person onto the slide unit 78. The wheelchair can be positioned and secured by the inclined part 49.
