PURPOSE:To provide the titled sheet characterized by a short settig time, little blurring of an ink adhered thereto and excellent light resistance of the ink after printing, by providing a coated layer comprising a binding agent consist- ing of a specified styrene-maleic acid base copolymer and a pigment. CONSTITUTION:A binding agent containing at least 50wt% of a copolymer of styrene, a monoalkyl maleate and an acrylic compound or a reaction product of said copolymer with a cationic organic compound, a pigment, preferably calcined kaolin or a mixture of 50-80wt% calcined kaolin and 20-50wt% urea resin powder, and a dispersant (e.g., sodium pyrophosphate) and the like are mixed in water by stirring and dispersed by a homomixer or the like to obtain a coating material. The coating material is coated on a support in an amount of at least 0.5g/m<2>, preferably at least 2g/m<2>. |
