PURPOSE:To enhance the safety and improve the working efficiency, by using the pedestal of a bar-shaped metallic jig, which has an L-shaped section and can be assembled into one-body structure, in case of the press forming with a press machine. CONSTITUTION:A length L of an L-shaped bar metallic jig 5' is slightly longer than the length of a lower inside bar 4 of a used pressure die, and a length l is longer than the half of the thinkness of an outside bar 2 and is shorter than the overall thickness slightly by several mm.. The metallic jig 5' is provided with tapped holes in both end parts of the L-shaped section and in the longitudinal direction at intervals. In case that, for example, 2 pedestals 5' are used independently of each other, they are put in parallel so that the outside bar 2 is placed in a sufficient area. Otherwise, pedestals 5' are connected to a channel shape by screws to obtain a one-body structure as shown in figure. A die is placed on pedestals 5' on a press machine base plate 6, and pressure is applied to the upper part of the inside bar which has a material 3 to be pressed, and the inside bar 4 is pressed out downward. In this case, since the contact area between the outside bar 2 and pedestals 5' is small, the danger of projecting out of the die is eliminated, and the efficiency is improved only by applying the die of parts of the length l. |
