<p>PURPOSE:To detect the separation of copying paper due to an error in gripping rapidly and securely, by detecting an error in loading the transfer material to a transfer material supporting member. CONSTITUTION:A peeling plate G1 is provided between a transfer guide plate 3 and a development and transfer position A, and at its exit side, a microswitch MS1 which operates by the contact of copying paper P is provided. Further, a peeling plate G2 is provided between said position A and a separating pawl 9 and at its exit side, a microswitch MS2 which operates by the contact of the copying paper P is provided. Furthermore, a reflection type photosensor RPS is arranged as opposed to a photosensitive drum 7 between the position A and a cleaner blade 8. Therefore, if the copying paper P is separates before or after the position A, the MS1 and MS2 detect that as a jam and when it is wound around the photosensitive drum 7, that is detected by the RPS as a jam before it reaches the cleaning blade 8.</p> |
