发明名称 SUBMERGED ARC BUILD-UP WELDING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To perform submerged build-up welding that provides high performance and low dilution rate by using a cylindrical hollow consumable electrode of respectively specified outside circumferential size and wall thickness. CONSTITUTION:After a consumable electrode 2 is let off at an adequate speed conforming to the transfer speed of base materials 1, it is passed through a forming roll group consisting of plural sets of forming rolls 3 from an arrow direction. It is curved gradually from a C shape in section to a cylinrical shape of an O shape in section wherein both side edges 2a, 2a are butted. While a ring- like contact piece 4 is held in sliding contact with this, it is supplied approximately at a right angle to the surface of the materials 1. At this time, electricity is supplied to the piece 4 to generate arcs between the leading end of the electrode 2 and the base metals 1 in a flux 5 and the electrode 2, the base metals 1 and the flux 5 are melted by the arc heat thereof, whereby weld metal 6 is melt stuck to the surface of the base metals 1. Here, it is an essential requirement that the electrode 2 is set at >=50mm., more particularly 50-300mm. outside circumferential length, and >=0.2mm., more particularly 0.2-2mm. wall thickness.
