SETTING METHOD FOR MOLDING FLASK FOR CASTING

PURPOSE:To prevent the outflow of a casting material and to eliminate the waste of labor and materials in the stage of setting a molding flask for casting of a molten metal vessel by interposing a soft material which does not allow the permeation of water between the molding flask and the bed of the molten metal vessel. CONSTITUTION:Rubber hoses 7 are beforehand placed circularly on the bed 2 of a molding flask 3 in the position corresponding to the bottom part of the outside circumference of the flask 3, and the flask 3 is set thereon. The hoses 7 are of hard rubber, but not only the rubber hoses but also round bars of rigid resins or hoses of materials having elongating and contracting properties and having no absorptivity for water may be used. Further the water contained in a casting material 4 percolates successively downward after the casting, and therefore absorbing materials 8 are installed annularly in parallel below the rubber hoses or the like 7.
