SOLID-STATE IMAGING DEVICE A solid-state imaging device has a semiconductor integrated circuit comprising a plurality of switching elements for addressing picture elements and scanning circuitry for turning the switching elements "on" and "off" in time sequence disposed on an identical substrate. A photoconductive film is disposed on the integrated circuit and is connected with the respective switching elements. A light transmitting electrode is disposed on the photoconductive film and a voltage is applied to the light transmitting electrode to bias a region of the photoconductive film on a light entrance side thereof either positively or negatively with respect to a region thereof on the opposite side. The device is characterized in that each switching element is an element that uses carriers of polarity opposite to that of carriers having a greater mobility in the photoconductive film.
