<p>The conveyor has a wheeled chassis (6) which supports block-supporting plates (7) or boxes. The blocks are fed to the plate by an inclined conveyor belt (12) and abut against the raised front wall (6d) of the chassis. The wall remains in the vertical position during the loading of the plate and during travel of the carriage along the track (3) leading to the discharge station. At the end of the track the wall is lowered to a horizontal position on a level with a discharge platform (8) so that the loaded plate or box can be pushed off the carriage onto the platform.</p> |
