<p>The door is reinforced against intrusion by burglars using vertical channels (11) which are installed side by side to form a continuous surface parallel to the door leaf. The vertical sides (28,29) of the channels have a Z-shaped cross-section so that adjacent channels interengage. The channels have edges (19,21) which are inwardly turned towards one another and are used for mounting purposes. The channels are installed containing a layer of thermal or acoustical insulation.</p> |
