PURPOSE:To enable high recording density, by heating a minute part on a recording medium at a compensating point or more, moving this minute part, magnetizing the part while the temperature falls down near the compensating point and keeping the magnetization around the compensating point. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium 13 is moved toward the arrow in high speed. Assuming a moving distance at a point P as X, when thermal wire spot is irradiated, the thermal wire spot part (heated to a compensating point or more) as shown in the dotted line circle (a) in the enlarged view for the point P is moved toward the arrow by DELTAx after DELTAt and comes to a solid line circle in (b). Thus, the temperature at the hatched part is decreased. In this case, since the coercive force of a magnetic substance film of the recording medium 13 is small, magnetization is made toward the direction of magnetic field of a coil 14 and when the temperature of the magnetic substance film closes to a room temperature, the coercive force of the magnetic substance film is rapidly increased and since the direction of magnetization of the hatched part (c) is not subject to the operation of the coil 14 afterward, the recording with a smaller than the spot can be made. |
