<p>A SAW device, which can be applied to a filter, a vibrator or a delay line, comprises a SAW element having a metal electrode formed on a piezoelectric substrate and adapted to excite a surface acoustic wave, a package resin base that houses the SAW element, and a resin cap that closes a hollow of the case. If the package resin base and the resin cap are of material of the same color, it is difficult to discriminate between the front and back of the package. The SAW device uses materials of different colors for the case resin base and the resin cap to facilitate to insert the SAW device in a printed-circuit board in the right direction.</p> |
