<p>PURPOSE:To run a tape stably, by controlling a supply reel motor to normal or reverse torque in relation to the motion of a tension arm in the fast forwarding mode. CONSTITUTION:Tape tension detecting mechanisms 13 and 14 consisting of potentiometers and etc. are attached to tension arms 6 and 12, and outputs of mechanisms 13 and 14 are supplied to supply and take-up reel motors 3 and 4 through a switching circuit which is controlled by the control signal from a controlling circuit. In the fast forwarding mode, when the tape tension is reduced and the tension arm 6 is moved to a position B, the supply reel motor 3 is controlled to reverse torque; and when the tension arm 6 is moved in the direction of C-D, the supply reel motor 3 is controlled to normal torque. At this time, the take-up reel motor 4 is not subjected to the torque control and has a constant torque.</p> |
