DOOR FASTENER

A portable door fastener is disclosed which includes a body of thin, sturdy material which can be inserted between a door and a door jamb and which includes a projection to engage in the jamb latch recess. The rearward end of the thin body is provided with a threaded block through which a partially threaded operating bolt is longitudinally movable. The operating bolt forwardly attaches to a pressure plate, which plates is in sliding engagement with the body. The operating bolt terminates rearwardly in a handle which is used to turn the bolt through the threaded block to force the pressure plate against the door to prevent relative movement between the door and the door jamb.
