PURPOSE:To offer a quartz oscillator bar with high accuracy through reduced displacement of a base part at resonance, by providing an L-shaped branch at both outsides toward X direction of a tuning fork type quartz oscillator bar and arranging electrodes so that the deformation of the base can be cancelled. CONSTITUTION:An L-shaped branch 9c is projected from both sides toward the X direction of a base 9b near groove bottom of a tuning fork type quartz oscillator bar 9 consisting of two resonance branches 9a in bending oscillation and the base 9b linking the resonance branches 9a, and the lengthwise direction of the resonance branch 9a and that of the L-shaped branch 9c are made almost in parallel. When the resonance branches 9a are bent toward the direction that they are mutually closed, the base 9b is bent toward the direction that it is parted from the branches 9a. Since the L-shaped branches 9c are shrinked at the same time, a force toward the opposite direction as said bending is exerted to the root of the branches 9c. The size and electrode construction of the L-shaped branches 9c can be set so that the resulting vector of the two forces are zero and the deformation of the base 9b is minimized. |
