<p>The tubular transfer line is intended for moving water to a shore-based installation from a deep level at a distance from the shore or vice versa, partic. for generating energy using the temp. differential between sub-surface and surface water. The transfer line, which extends largely along the sea bed, consists of flexible foil and is provided with aligned weighting elements at least along one side which are pref. spaced along the length of the line. These elements may consist of rings secured to the foil, and the foil may be held in tension over at least part of the line.</p> |
