The hood is arranged over an open fireplace and forms the connection (at 9) to the flue duct. It is double-walled (1,2; 6,5 etc), the space between the walls having a bottom inlet (18) and a top outlet (19) for a water heating circuit, and containing strips (15,16) to guide the water flow. The water inlet (18) may be directed at the space between two parallel hood walls (the rear walls as shown). The strips may extend horizontally, the strips inside one wall being staggered relative to those in another wall. The strips in the (rear) wall with water inlet may be at higher levels than those in the other walls.
|
