<p>The cardboard fruit packing tray is stiffened by hollow triangular section pillars incorporated in each of its corners. Each pillar is formed by folding a flap (1) extension (3,4,5), its foot housing into a triangular opening (9) in the floor panel (7) whilst its head houses into a triangular section cap. Tongues (1b,8b) joined to the flaps (1,8) meet at the corner and are also housed by the cap. The cap has a projecting stud, and stacked trays are located by studs housing into the open ends of the superposed pillars. Slits (2) may be used to define the tongues, the flap extension being divided into three by fold lines (6) whilst being separated from the adjacent flap by a further slit (10).</p> |
