PURPOSE:To prevent the exfoliation of a photosenitive layer and to avoid the occurrence of a red crystal to the photosensitive layer owing to the fat or sweat, by loading a photosensitive drum to a copying machine with a protecting cover put on the drum and removing the protcting cover from the drum after the drum is loaded to the copying machine. CONSTITUTION:A protecting cover 5 is previously put over the outer circumference of a cylinder 1 of a photosensitive drum. When the drum is loaded to a copying machine, the cylinder 1 is put into the machine with the cover 5 put on the cylinder. Then only the cover 5 is removed gently by holding a grip 6 after the cylinde 1 is inserted up to a place slightly forward from the normal loading position to engage an end cover 3. After this, the cylinder 1 is pushed in further to engage the cover 3. In addition, another end cover 7 are attached at the forward end part. Thus the loading of the photosensitive drum is finished. |
