In order to produce oxygen, a double chemical reaction is used, namely the production of hydrogen peroxide by sodium perborate and the decomposition of the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen under the affect of appropriate catalysts, in this case copper derivatives. The principle applies to cavity filters (triple filters) as well as to cavity-free filters (single filter).
