PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition for external use, effective remarkably to the remedy of chapped skin, spots, freckles, pimples, etc., by using OREN (rhizoma of Coptis japonica MAKINO var. dissecta NAKAI) which is an orally administrable crude drug, as an essential active component of a cosmetic for continuous use. CONSTITUTION:Powder of OREN used as an oral drug such as a digestive, a herb medicine, a crude drug preparation, etc., or its extract with water or aqueous alcohol (e.g. an aqueous extract obtained by extracting with 30% ethanol at 15-25 deg.C: 1pt. of the extract can be obtained from 5pts. of the OREN), is added to a cosmetic in an amount of >=0.005wt%, preferably about 2wt%. The compounded composition can be used in the form of cream, beauty wash, baby powder, soap, etc. by conventional method. |
