PURPOSE:To exactly remove side gauge defective sheet all the time by a method in which each time the side gauge defects occur during the printing period, a discriminating tape is automatically inserted and stayed in the position where the side gauge defective sheets are present in printed book. CONSTITUTION:A side gauge defective sheet divider is provided with a light projector 26a and a light receiver 26b, constituting a side gauge detector to detect the positioning faulity of a printing paper by a side gauge device 27, a signal delay circuit receiving detection signal from the side gauge detector, and a tape inserter 38 to insert and stay a discriminating tape between the stacked layers of printed book housed in a delivery part. By operating the tape inserter 38 by the output of the delay circuit, the tape is inserted and stayed in the position where printed papers with printing faulity due to the positioning faulity of stacked printed book in the delivery part are present. |
