PURPOSE:To obtain a foamed decorative material having extremely raised sections, by filling recesses of a profiled pattern on a foamable synthetic resin sheet with a foamable synthetic resin whose decomposition temperature is low, lining the sheet, and foaming it by heating. CONSTITUTION:The syntheitc resin sheet 1 containing a first foaming agent is put over a profiling roll 5 to form a profiled pattern on the sheet 1 by a back- up roll 5. The recesses of the synthetic resin sheet 1 containing a first foaming agent which is still in close contact with the profiling roll 5 and on which the profiled pattern has been formed are filled with the synthetic resin paste 2' containing a second foaming agent whoe decomposition temperature is lower than that of the foaming agent in the sheet 1. Then, after the synethetic resin sheet 1 is lined with a substrate 3, it is passed through a drying oven 9 and a foaming furnace 10 to be heated and foamed, and is cooled in a cooler 11. Thus, with the foamed layer, that is, the surface layer still retaining its closing property, it is expanded through hollow core sections that are traces of the foaming of the second foaming resin layer 2 to obtain the foamed dcorative material. |
