PURPOSE:To have accurate feed of a work and freely adjustable pitch by providing a main and an auxiliary vise to clamp a work and by incorporating such a mechanism that these vises shall work alternately by means of constant pitched feeding. CONSTITUTION:A work 30, a pipe, is fixed in a condition as grasped by a main B and an auxiliary B' vise facing the cutter 13, which is driven by a motor 12 to machine the work. Upon turning a handle 49 for loosening the aux. vise B', the feed rod 51 is pulled outward by an operational means 54 to allow the aux. vise B' to move outward under guidance of horizontal guides 43, 43 to be stopped when a dimension setting piece 56 inside the feed rod 51 contacts the reference piece 42, and then the aux. vise B' is fastened by turning the handle 49. Upon loosening the main vise B, the feed rod 51 is pulled inward by the operational means 54, and then the aux. vise B' and the work 30 are stopped when the dimension setting piece 57 contacts the reference piece 42. Thus regular feeding can be given accurately. |
