PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which welds the weld line on the outer side of the work particularly bending in the middle automatically by controlling a traveling carriage connected with all the wheels with a steering mechanism to the position of a horizontal moving body in such a way that the rate of projection of a roller for guiding the perpendicular surface of the work interlocked with said carriage is kept constant. CONSTITUTION:When a roller 9 deviates from the side surface of the work W2 in, for example, a refracting place, the roller 9 projects most and outputs a signal. The electric power source of the welding machine is turned off by the output signal thereof and the steering angle of all the wheels 2 of a traveling carriage 11 by a steering machanisum 3 and the turning angle of a turning body 4 are changed. In accordance with the changing of the turning angle, the carriage is moved from, for example, one weld line WL1 to the prescribed position for the other weld line WL2 in bending. As a result, the labor of reinstalling the traveling carriage to the fresh weld line by the operator at every arrival of the cariage at a bend place as in the prior art is eliminated. |
